Nurture your Spirit, nurture your self

Hi Everyone,

Do you consider yourself to be a spiritual person?  If you're reading this, my guess is yes.  So, in this fast-paced world we live in, how do you nurture your spirituality?  How do you replenish your souls' energy, your life force, that which you are?  How do you nurture your self?

The energy which holds "you", the flesh and the blood, together is a continuum of the same energy that comprises the universe.  We are star dust, star dust is us.  This energy is in constant flux, driven by whatever impulse is there.  Where does the impulse come from?  From you, in your entirety.

How do we tap into that universal energy?  How do we use it to replenish ourselves as we're living our daily lives?   Meditation is a tool in which to connect with this divinity that is you, to tap into that universal energy and refuel.  Use it as your tool to reconnect with who you are.  Think of the movie Avatar, when the Na'vi use their hair to connect with their God, their environment.  They are tapping into their source of life.  This is mediation.

Don't know how to meditate?  It's simple.  Sit in a quiet place.  If you don't have one, get some headphones and download soothing music/mediation music to listen to while you sit in comfortable silence.  Silently repeat a mantra, a word, which helps to connect with your divine self.  If you don't have an idea of what this is, google it.  Pick one that speaks to you.  While sitting there, repeat your mantra in your head slowly and silently.  If your mind wanders, gently bring it back to the word.  Relax.  Do this for 15 minutes a day, preferably in the morning before coffee.  Try it for a week.  You may not feel you are benefiting from it at first, but believe that you are.  You are on a cellular level.  You are nurturing your connection to the divine within and all around you. Come back and leave me your comments.  Let's have a conversation about it.

You are a divine being, in human form, for a flicker of time on this earth.  You are an important, insignificant incarnation of God's love.  You are love.

Now, go meditate!

Namaste.
